Emily Trujillo will be leading a 3-day workshop at the Taos Wools classroom in Arroyo Seco. Please join us for an amazing and insightful 3-day weaving workshop!

Learn to weave in the Rio Grande Chimayo Weaving tradition with award-winning eighth generation weaver Emily Trujillo of Centinela Traditional Arts. In this three day course, you will learn both the art of shuttle work and tapestry in the Chimayo style, a lesser known genre of Rio Grande weaving, as well as learn about the wondrous and rich culture and history of Rio Grande weaving in its entirety since the early 1600's. Emily teaches both beginner and advanced techniques to students of all skill levels in every class, so whether you're an experienced weaver or have never touched a loom before, you are welcome to come learn something new. Emily Trujillo is the daughter of master weavers Irvin and Lisa Trujillo whom she learned from when she was a child. This class will be taught on walking looms, so be prepared to be standing all day.
